No offense to the good Doctor, but he’s quite mad. This lunatic idea will never catch on. Why, you’re expecting people to… physically MOVE!

I wouldn’t go so far as to say this is a perverted and blasphemous idea, after all, I did have to move only this morning in order to get myself some tea, but really, sir, you should have some sense of basic civil decency and not flaunt your… eccentric tastes in front of all and sundry!

Although the notion of analog social networking is intriguing, I fear that the notion may not have been explored adequately, and that in certain matters of basic functionality, the medium may be lacking.

While analog networking does boast visual media options with significantly less buffer time and nearly lossless compression, many simple tasks are made surprisingly difficult. Consider, for instance, the laboriousness of obtaining a cat, taping a caption to it, photographing said cat, developing the photograph, and bringing the resultant image to the analog networking center. It is not altogether unreasonable to think that this entire genre may fall into disuse, a loss to be reckoned with the Western world’s abandonment of Euclid’s theorems, and the many centuries thereby lost.

Does, moreover, analog networking provide any means by which a hyperlink may be shortened? Does it come with a “Like” button? Absent this remarkable innovation, it is entirely unclear how preferences may be expressed.

If I interact with someone in an analog setting, will I be informed whether they are a second or third degree contact? Are “introductions” a feature of this new social network, or is this not possible? And perhaps most importantly, is this system extensible, or must users work solely within the framework provided by the developer?

The problem with this idea is that if you try to send gifts in analog space, they cost REAL money! and tending crops takes forever!

Mafia Wars … Does it have Mafia Wars? And if it does, will objects from the analog version travel cross-platform? I totally need a drill and a jack for my chop shop.
