Sounds like an internet ad – Cure your severe memory problems with this one weird old trick!

I’ve often felt that most TV executives could use a good whack on the head.
Either that, or force them to watch every episode of every show they produce.

THE TRUMPET HEARING AIDE NETWORK: “What’s that Sound?!” (Game Show): Man on the Street is harassed by obnoxious host carrying a large grandfather clock, a camera man and a microphone boom operator into being a game show contestant as he is rushing to catch his approaching bus. All he needs to do to win $10,000 and to get them off his back is to answer correctly before ten seconds elapse, “What’s That Sound?!” Pointing above the man’s head to something hanging from the ledge of the Allegheny Private First Class Hospital Building, the host asks the man, “What’s That Sound?!” As the ten second grandfather clock begins counting down, the man looks up at the ledge, straining his eyes and ears, and he is hit on his forehead by the steady cold drips of a melting icicle, followed by a falling 18 inch long icicle, and a 5 foot, 3 inch long wildly flailing psychotic patient! Having just been hit on the head by cold dripping water, a long dislodged icicle, and a short psychotic patient, the man on the street naturally suffers amnesia and forgets the answer to the question, “What’s that Sound?!” Just as the tenth second is about to tick away, the man is hit on the head by a falling amnesia mallet and he is suddenly able to recall the answer to, “What’s that Sound?!” Answering correctly, “A Screaming Psychotic Patient”, he wins the $10,000 prize and his freedom, just as his bus pulls up to the stop.

I’m certain that I am not the only person here who has been watching the Netflix series “House of Cards”. I’m also sure that I’m not the only person who was stunned by the complete lack of realism in the program. I just cannot believe that a show which bills itself as a true-to-life political thriller would make such a glaring omission!

While the Underwood Universal Champion Portable is a quality machine, the lettering which it is purportedly laying out in episode 25 is in far too bold a font. Clearly a stunt typewriter was substituted.

I cannot believe that the writers would insult our intelligence in such a manner.
