You recycle waste paper…but what about the ideas you wrote down on it? We all want to do our part to reduce waste. We’ve learned to put our waste paper in the recycling bin, so it can be recycled and go on to a new life in somebody else’s recycling bin. But, sadly, many of the thoughts and ideas we wrote down on that paper still end up in landfills, polluting our intellectual environment. That’s why there’s the Internet. When you publish your fleeting thoughts to all and sundry on line, you’re guaranteeing that even your worst ideas will have a second life. Don’t forget to spew your thoughts on social media before you toss that paper. The Internet—It’s the waste paper basket of the mind.
