But since both the word Womens and the word Hills have an s at the end, they will need TWO apostrophes.  And a third for Donaldsons.  And a fourth for Crossroads.  And a fifth to be inserted at random.

I looked on Amazon and couldn’t find what the retail price of an astpherfee is/

When they get it, they can use it as a comma.

  4. Belfry Bat says:

I clearly see two apostrophe already!

O much-too-subtle pointing, how long shalt thou be told-off as mere decoration by the illiterate?

  5. Von Hindenburg says:

As someone with an apostrophe in their name, I am torn between wanting to donate it and wanting to hold onto it out of family pride and sheer stubbornness. Having a nonstandard character in one’s name has become more and more difficult as it has to be entered into more and more computer databases, some of which retain it as part of your name, some of which allow you to type it, and then remove it without telling you, some which do not permit you to type it, and some which permit it, then castigate you for your temerity in using an ‘Illegal Character’.

One has to wonder if these electronic micro aggressions will push younger people to more and more often drop these characters from their names.
