In a recent debate, Christine O’Donnell (who is evidently not a witch) accused her opponent, Chris Coons, of emulating Karl Marx. Is it, in fact, possible to emulate a long-dead theorist, and if so, will history books written from this day hence reference the flightless bird that consoled itself by taking flights of fancy in the Reading Room of the British Museum?

Does this, moreover, indicate that Marxism is for the birds, and how will Texan textbooks handle this curious case of devolution — or, perhaps worse, straightforward evolution, depending on what one thought of Marx.
