THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE has asked us to remind concerned citizens that the public comment period for next month’s weather schedule closes at noon on Monday. This is your last chance to have your opinions heard, and your needs taken into account, before the weather schedules are finalized for October. A National Weather Service publicist has promised us some “big surprises” for the month, although he cautions us that it will be difficult to equal the “edge-of-your-seat” excitement maintained by September’s weather.
