    Sadly, this is an all too common reflection on the nature of the modern manufacturing process. It is very uncommon in these modern times to encounter traditionally crafted china items, instead being confronted by repetitive ranks of tawdry plastic geegaws.

    I am a wholesaler and I must say the quality of imported china has been declining for some time and the claims that the manufacturing process is carried out “traditionally” is sadly no longer a guarantee of authenticity.

    My customers are continually not happy with the products they receive and frankly I do not blame them – they deserve better (much better) than a cheap imitation.

    I would not be surprised if they started looking towards Japan for a better deal. The Chinese for some time have neglected and ignored the elephant in the room, and unfortunately it now has morphed into a bull in a china shop.
