IMPROVE YOUR PENMANSHIP.

international-steel-pen-appreciation-month-02Perhaps you have been thinking to yourself, “I, too, should like to celebrate International Steel-Pen Appreciation Month, but my penmanship needs work before it can show itself in public.”

If that is so, dear reader, you are probably wondering to yourself right now, “Whither shall I turn for help in improving my writing?”

But you may already have surmised that Dr. Boli has the answer to your question. In fact, Dr. Boli’s Eclectic Library has a whole page devoted to penmanship methods and studies of historic styles. The page will continue to grow, but it already has a wide enough variety that you are bound to find something to your taste. Just an hour of writing a day, and you will soon far surpass your peers in handwriting.

If you have not visited the Eclectic Library recently, you may wish to set aside a few hours of your time. It grows every day, and every day becomes more eclectic.

Yes indeed, I was wondering that yesterday. Does the Good Doctor know if there is an indulgence tied to working on ones penmanship? I suppose it depends on which phrases you use to practice?

Will we soon be seeing steel pen matches between professional penmanship wrestlers?

    Dr. Boli:

Do you have a particular brand and source for steel pens? I’m afraid my education didn’t cover such things but I am interested in picking up where my schoolteachers left off.

Ah yes, “The pen is mightier than the sword”, at least until the penman and swordsman are face to face.

  6. Dear Dr. Boli,

Why have Americans let lapse their knowledge of teas and wines? They seem to have become anti-snobs if that is a thing. On tv, you can tell someone is drinking tea because the telltale tea bag tag is dangling from their mug. Also on tv shows, you see people having a conversation about wine that only asks them to decide between red and white, then they pour a large amount of wine into a giant glass. Are all Americans less subtle than they used to be? If so, how can we tell the difference?
