The Junction Hollow Aviation Society has built an authentic replica of Gustave Whitehead’s experimental steam-powered heavier-than-air craft, and is planning a reenactment of his 1899 flight some time this fall. If you have a spare brick building that needs crashing into, please contact the Society in care of this publication.

The “Polish falcon” turned out to be a faded Kiwi Polish sign overgrown with brush, the confusion was due to a very young member of the club trying to make his mark in the competitive world of bird watching. Too take away messages from this incident: birds are important but so is the mastery of words and let’s not be so competitive.

  3. Thank you for your information on the Polish Falcons of America. When I need my 1960 vintage Ford Falcon polished, I will keep them in mind.
