Machine intelligence will be with us much sooner than we expect, and in fact is probably already here.

  1. Machine intelligence doesn’t mean machine sentience. To be intelligent, a machine would “think” very differently than we would. We would know it was intelligent because while we are using its processing power, the machine was thinking and doing things behind our backs. Wait a minute! Doesn’t Windows already do that? We’re too late!
