A CURIOUS QUESTION FROM GOOGLE.

Are You the Business Owner

What effect will it have on the outcome of today’s election if Dr. Boli does claim to be the owner of Allegheny County Elections? Will he be able to buy the candidates he prefers? Perhaps he will try the experiment. If you are thinking of offering yourself as a candidate, hoping thereby to earn a little spare cash, you should know that, as a rule, Dr. Boli prefers to purchase only candidates who are completely incorruptible.

“There was only one catch, and that was Catch-22.”

If one only purchases candidates that both offer themselves up for sale, and who are also incorruptible, there’s a new “catch” in town.

On a side note, the Board of Elections typically doesn’t purchase candidates, instead, somewhat less-than-incorruptible candidates typically dream of purchasing elections from a not-very-incorruptible election board…

    • Dr. Boli says:

Someone once defined an honest politician as one who, when he’s bought, stays bought.

At any rate, if it is only the Board of Elections that is up for grabs, Dr. Boli probably has no need of it. Boards of Elections doubtless spend most of their time with spreadsheets and calculators, with time off to read an occasional letter from an attorney. Google had left Dr. Boli with the impression that he could take ownership of the election itself, and then at last he could put his favorite Socialist Workers candidate in the City Controller’s office.
