    For those who are not of Dr. Boli’s respectable age and perhaps do not remember the ancient days prior to Amazon, “Lord & Taylor” was a department chain.

    A department store was something like Amazon, except you have to shop in person and they would only sell clothes and tie pins and other boring stuff like that.

  2. When I worked at the rival Department Store chain known as Marshall Field and Company, we had nicknames for some of the other Department Stores.

    Lord & Taylor = Overlord and Jailer
    Neiman Marcus = Needless Markup
