A Letter.
Dear Mavis,
Well, the Carvers went to Erie,
but I don’t think much good can come of that.
Elizabeth gets such an awful headache
whenever she gets north of Titusville,
and Anthony is still afraid of lakes.
His therapist says he should face his fears,
but you remember how that worked out last time.
And that was just a little bitty lake.
More Like a pond. Poor Lizzie was so mad!
She wanted him to fire that therapist.
And yet he does all right with oceans. Strange.
Meanwhile, the Pratts are getting a divorce.
I told them they were being kind of hasty,
and maybe they should think of getting married
before they get divorced, but they won’t listen.
Jan says they want to get it done before
the wedding, which is on the tenth of June,
so they won’t have it hanging over them
when they go honeymooning in Fort Wayne.
Jan’s really Looking forward to Fort Wayne.
And that’s the news, I guess. When you write back,
be sure to send the baseball scores for all
the Produce Vendors’ Semi-Pro League games.
The Herald-Standard doesn’t carry them.
With Love from Uniontown,
Jeannine McClog.
