    Those of us who have attained a certain age know what a “temp” is. But do they still exist in the wild? Maybe they’ve been renamed “gig workers”?

      In Temporary, Hilary Leichter proposes that the temp is (for most intents and purposes) eternal, that the Demiurge subbed out its work to the First Temp — thus temps do still exist, not only in the wild but in the Wide.
