Does the good Doctor have any information on the demographics of his readership? I’m wondering if there are readers of the Celebrated Magazine under the age of 60 – those who might not even know what a classified ad is. Perhaps an upcoming entry could be a reminiscence of paper newspapers and the various sections found within them.

  3. I’m a full decade under 60, if only just. And I know what a classified ad is, having once failed to stop my boss at a mortgage brokerage from placing a help-wanted ad for a “non-processor position” rather than a “loan processor position”, resulting in a bunch of angry respondents upset that they were being offered a job processing loans when the ad specifically said they wouldn’t have to do that.

I’d thought I’d heard him misspeak when he was making the phone call placing the ad, but wasn’t sure. I should have spoken up. But mere receptionists aren’t often rewarded for correcting owner-managers.
