    Well, Uniontown was founded on July 4, 1776. But they must just be angling to bring Marshall in as Secretary of War. (You know that there’ll be no namby-pamby ‘Secretary of Defence’) in a Harding Cabinet.

  2. Marshall as the Fringe Candidate for Secretary of War? Hardly the caliber of man fit to serve with the likes of Harding and Agnew. There’s only one former United States Secretary of War with the qualifications (and the Dead-ness) to serve in the cabinet of a Harding administration…Jefferson Davis, former Secretary of War under Franklin Pierce.

    Well, I can’t think of any other reason for singling out the intersection of 40 and 51 for praise. Unless he’s going for the retired female religious vote. Or the Joe Hardy vote. Come to think of it, is Fayette County even still part of the US?

  4. Hmmm. I’m not that familiar with the area, but it looks like US 40 splits due to one-way streets, so 51 actually crosses it twice. Looks like just another case of Harding trying to take two simultaneous positions on the same issue.
