  1. Martin the Mess says:

“…50% of damage in so-called natural disasters is caused bottled water in an uncontrolled state.”

Hopefully the fact that the image is now no longer loading properly (and thus I can’t double-check my transcription) means that you just noticed the missing “by” in that sentence and are fixing it.

  2. Dr. Boli says:

Crowd-sourced proofreading is one of the great advantages of the Internet over more traditional publishing. This particular advertisement gave the compositor more trouble than usual, and went through four versions in five minutes.

  3. Greybeard says:

Reminds me of the Di-Hydrogen Monoxide scare a few years ago where it was revealed that this dangerous chemical was virtually unregulated by the government. Of course that reminds me of King Canute and his attempt to regulate unbottled Di-Hydrogen Monoxide. No government since has been any more successful.

  4. I thank Dr. Boli for this public service announcement. I’ve been having water piped into my home for most of my life, and I’m now concerned that this water is feral. Although it seems controllable, there are occasional leaks. Worse, the toilet sometimes backs up. Please advise.

  5. Dies Irae says:

    Mr. Hodges,

You should certainly switch to a natural gas toilet. In addition being 100% natural (see its name) and, unlike wild water, fully regulated by the government to ensure your safety, the device even comes with a pilot light, so you don’t have to light a match after use.
