THINGS TO DO.

Mr. Archibald Scape, America’s foremost composer of backs of cereal boxes, will be at the Food Festival supermarket in Blandville tomorrow afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. signing copies of his latest work, Fifteen Fun Fiber Facts, on the back of the new Brenneman’s Fiber Friends cereal package. Mr. Scape is best known as the author of Diet and Exercise Make a Perfect Team on the back of Brenneman’s Rice Ripples cereal, and A-MAZE-ing Mazes on the back of Jimmy’s Cracked Corn cereal. Some critics, citing similarities in style and vocabulary, have suggested that Mr. Scape may also have written the box backs for some of the Food Festival house-brand cereals, but so far Mr. Scape has refused either to confirm or to deny these rumors.

I was perplexed about how Mr. Scape could get out of this one. I was thinking that getting blamed for the generic backs of store brand cereal made him a Scape goat. Then my daughter pointed out that in creating content for the backs of cereal boxes he has become a Scape artist.

  2. What a great chance to come and See Scape. Will he be flying into town? Maybe a delegation of fans could meet him at the airport if they could find out what time the airliner is scheduled to Land Scape.

His greatest works are now available for download at E-Scape.com

I am delighted to finally learn the identity of the gentleman who has enlivened many of my mornings, as I perused the educational and entertaining backs of cereal boxes.

    Floreat Scape!
